Puck, Penn and Percy
HAPPY FRIYAY!!!!
To celebrate one of the greatest days of the week I am sharing my favorite penguin pals!
Have I mentioned that I LOVE penguins! I guarantee this will not be the last card you see from me using Playful Penguins! I cased the card from the holiday catalog, in their example they used lighter more non-traditional type colors, but I wanted to use more of the Wrapped in Plaid DSP so I decided to change up the colors completely to compliment my new favorite paper. I loved that there was a plaid design that had 3 different colors so that I could really give each of the penguins their own look. This makes sense if you read my previous post where I had identified and gave each of the penguins a personality. I did everything but name them which come to think of it, let us just go ahead and do that. Now that we have all three of them in one place, I will introduce you more formally to my new friends! Left to right: Puck is rocking his vibrant shaded spruce scarf, as you can see he doesn't stand still for very long, Penn is shown almost sulking in his coordinating Night of Navy knit hat and scarf he is definitely the quirky penguin of the bunch, finally we have Percy who is the proper penguin, he follows the rules and he constantly has his nose turned up at the foolish behaviors of his two younger brothers; he has a traditional Cherry Cobbler scarf which is made of the finest wool this side of the Artic.
Dimensions/Supplies
Card base is shaded spruce cut at 5 1/2" x 11"
I cut two pieces of the DSP at 5 1/2" x 1 1/2" so that I can conserve all the plaid for more cards
Whisper white is cut to 5 1/2" x 3"
I hand cut the whisper white Banner, I stamped the words and then trimmed with paper snips until I had the size where I wanted it.
Ink : shaded spruce, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Smokey Slate and Grey Granite
